The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House that we the undersigned request that Catherine Street at the Tolga State Primary School be made into a one way street due to insufficient parking for dropping off and picking up of school children.  This is needed as children are at a high risk because of the high volume of cars and insufficient parking there has been a number of 'close calls' of children nearly being hit by oncoming cars.  The school's attendance is steadily increasing and the issue is becoming more apparent. Catherin Street would then be able to have angle parking, which would easily be able to accommodate a larger number of cars instead of the current parking spaces, this being currently 27 car spaces present where the one way would increase it to 54 angle parking spaces
