Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House the multiple adverse impacts, such as smell, noise, mess and health concerns on the community of Ingham, including adjacent schools, businesses, community organisations and the environment, of the flying fox colony occupying the Keith Payne VC Botanical Gardens.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to direct the Minister for the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection to take responsibility for dispersing the flying fox colony occupying the Keith Payne VC Botanical Gardens in Ingham to ensure the safety and well-being of the local community and prevent further damage to the trees.
