The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House to the threat of removal of the Ravenswood School and School Residence from their current sites; the destruction of the Ravenswood Mining Landscape consisting five prominent brick chimney stacks, mine shafts, magazines, engine mounts, foundations etc; and the Chinese Settlement area.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to stop the expansion of future mining onto these sites at Ravenswood in North Queensland.
