TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House that the southern Gold Coast has around 300,000 residents, adjoins other high population districts and is a long standing priority need area for a funded community legal centre.

Volunteers at the nationally accredited Robina Community Legal Centre cannot meet overwhelming demand in practice areas of family and domestic violence; tenancy, consumer, debt, employment and other civil; micro business; crime; and immigration law.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House deliver a funded coordinator and practice manager to the Robina Community Legal Centre, freeing up volunteer practitioners and law students to run case files and provide more legal advice – pro bono publico.
