The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the urgent need for road works to make safe for motorists and cyclists the part of Hervey Range Road which adjoins Rupertswood, Townsville.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to re-surface and widen Hervey Range Road to allow the safe passage of traffic, including the addition of bike lanes; and upgrade the Granitevale Road intersection to allow safe turning and passing.
