Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the urgent need for redevelopment of the inadequate parking facilities at Woodhill State School. Proposals have been sought from the relevant departments in response to the need to ensure the safety of the school community continues as paramount. Recent changes to the Department of Education’s own planning policy have meant that the current car park facility is no longer adequate, with a heavy reliance on off-street public parking along the busy Mount Lindesay Highway. Buses use the same drop off lane as parents and it is only a matter of time before a student may be injured.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to take all steps necessary to cause the redevelopment and construction of adequate parking facilities at the Woodhill State School.
