Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the need for reintroduction of Club Car and Sleeper Car services on the Inlander Train service from Mount Isa to Townsville. The sick and elderly and lower income earners use this service as a cheaper alternative to flying, to access specialist health services not available in the bush. The Club car is required for access to food and water outside of allotted meal times and the Sleeper car for resting during this long 20 hour journey.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to reinstate the Club Car and Sleeper Car on the Inlander Train service between Mount Isa and Townsville.
