TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Electors of the Division of Coomera draws to the attention of the House the need for mandatory driver classroom education for all people who are applying for a driver's licence for the first time or for those that are convicted of a traffic offence in court (for example to complete the Queensland Traffic Offenders Program - QTOP).

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to amend section 82 of the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995 to make education and rehabilitation compulsory.
