TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland Residents draw to the attention of the House the decision by Seqwater to close Lake Kurwongbah to water skiing as of 8 September 2014. Closing the lake to skiing will disadvantage thousands from the Lake Kurwongbah water skiing community.
Your petitioners therefore request the House to direct Seqwater not close Lake Kurwongbah to water skiing and to allow shared use of Lake Kurwongbah. Water skiers, (rowers) and paddle craft can share the lake just as skiers and rowers have done for over 50 years.
