Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the recent changes made to the legislation in regard to motorbike owners or riders is not only discriminatory but is also unjustified and a personal attack on those individuals who ride for pleasure and are and will continue to be law abiding, upstanding, family or community orientated riders.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to amend the legislation that will not by any means allow for personal, direct, indirect or otherwise or have a negative impact or legal ramification on the riders who can prove that they are law abiding, outstanding family community orientated citizens.  We also request that the House requires that the relevant Minister gives their undertaking that law abiding motorbike owners and riders will not be subjected to the recent legislative changes.
