The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House that vehicle access at Rules Beach has been removed for landholders, fishers and recreational users of the beach. Access has always been available to tourists and local residents, and to access public camping areas at each end of the beach.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to take appropriate action to ensure that vehicle access to Rules Beach is re-opened as quickly as possible, or an alternative site for access to the beach is identified.
