Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the suffering of dogs used for the purpose of intensive breeding for profit in “puppy farms” . 

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to act to outlaw puppy farms by passing legislation which adequately regulates dog breeders in Queensland to prevent cruelty, raise standards of care and improve the welfare of breeding dogs and their litters.
