Queensland Residents draws to the attention of the House the harm caused to the physical and mental health and wellbeing of our elderly and disabled residents by the closure of public Home and Community Care services that are designed to enable people stay in their own homes and out of hospital and aged care facilities. These public services must be re-established as private providers are not readily accessible or affordable for many of our most vulnerable residents.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to reinstate the Home and Community Care Services that have been recently closed for the sake of vulnerable Queenslanders.
