Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the urgent need for bus route 7 (Mt Gravatt Bus Lines) to be reinstated with a Translink subsidy to assist running costs.  This service provides for the schools of Loreto College, Villanova College, Seton College, Redeemer College, Mansfield High and Cavendish Road High.  Students from these schools require a bus service that operates from Loganholme to Coorparoo, crossing three electorates - Springwood, Mansfield and Greenslopes.  Up to three unwieldy and inappropriately timed buses are required for this journey at present and this is extremely difficult for students with heavy bags, sporting and musical equipment. Those with a disability or learning need find it almost impossible.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to provide a Translink subsidy to this service so that it can operate once more.
