TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House that Queensland
has no official State colour and that State sporting teams wear maroon
out of tradition.
Your petitioners therefore request the House to legislate maroon as the
State of Queensland’s official State colour.
