TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House, Minister for Housing and Public Works, Dr Bruce Flegg's plan to sell off three government-owned caravan parks, including the Monte Carlo Caravan Park at Cannon Hill, Woombye Gardens Caravan Park at Woombye and Lazy Acres Caravan Park at Torquay.

Residents of these caravan parks were promised permanent accommodation at this site and call on the Queensland Government, in particular Minister Flegg, to have a heart and not displace hundreds of residents, many of which are elderly or have young families.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to stop the sale of the Monte Carlo Caravan Park, Woombye Gardens Caravan Park and Lazy Acres Caravan Park.
