The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the lack of secondary schooling facilities in the township of Gracemere.  Those residents named in this petition believe that the children of Gracemere should be able to attend secondary school within their own community and not have to travel by bus via the Capricorn Highway to attend secondary school in Rockhampton.  Those residents named in this petition also believe that a State secondary school in Gracemere would have a positive effect on the social and economic wellbeing of the broader Gracemere Community.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to establish a State secondary school in Gracemere.
