The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House that when traffic lights were installed at the intersection of Moggill Road and Birkin Road, Bellbowrie, no facility for a u-turn was provided. Historically, residents have been able to do a u-turn at this location and now find themselves signifantly inconvenienced. A resulting safety issue has arisen as motorists continue to do a u-turn at this location risking collision with other motorists and endangering pedestrian safety.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House reconfigure the traffic lights at the intersection of Moggill Road and Birkin Road, Bellbowrie to allow for a safe u-turn at this intersection.
