Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House that Queensland Pensioner Concession and Seniors Card Holders have not been granted a rebate for the use of metered liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG).  This, we consider, is an anomaly, as we are receiving discounts for the other major utilities.  Fixed network charges have been factored into the purchase price of all homes connected to metered LPG, and we are also paying for supply similar to Natural Gas users, so we fail to understand why there is disparity between reticulated Natural Gas and reticulated metered LPG connections.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to earnestly consider granting all Queensland Pensioner Concession and Seniors Card Holders an appropriate rebate for the use of metered Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG).
