The petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House an application for a change in approval conditions for a Central Queensland mine to allow 100% of its workforce to fly-in and fly-out.

Your petitioners are strongly opposed to any application for a 100% fly-in, fly-out workforce as it will have a detrimental effect on mining communities and the region, both socially and economically, and it is feared it will set a precedent.

Your petitioners therefore request the House that any application for a 100% fly-in, fly-out workforce be rejected.
