TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws the attention of the House to the proposed Mudgeeraba to Tugun power network upgrade in particular to erect overhead powerlines from Alpha Avenue Currumbin to Tugun.
The petitioners therefore request the House to urgently intervene in this project. They request that the powerlines be placed underground because medical information suggests caution against erecting high voltage lines over dwellings and the overhead lines will deface the tourist scenic drive in the area.
