TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House the Sunday Mail's report (dated 9 May 2010) that the Government plans to syphon $3.3 million each year, for three years (that is$10M) from the Gambling Community Benefits Fund.  How do special schools, with small P&C working committees raise funds for much needed, very expensive specialised equipment such as walking frames and communication devices.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to debate the practice and reverse the decision to remove $10M from the funds, to subsidise the floundering solar rebate scheme.
