The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the huge impact that road noise from the M1 between the Pine Rivers Bridge and Boundary Road Dakabin is having on the health and wellbeing of residents in the area.Your petitioners therefore request the House to seek urgent federal funding to establish uniform and appropriate noise barriers along both sides of the M1 without further delay as the current barriers do not comply with Australian Standards and pose a workplace health and safety risk.
