TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House that we, the undersigned, vehemently support Powerlines Action Group Eumundi Inc. in its assessment of alternatives to the provision of centralised energy and in particular the Powerlink proposed Woolooga to South Cooroy Transmission Line and Substation Project. We believe an alternative 'sustainable energy' supply solution to Energex for the proposed Eerwah Valley Spur is viable, desirable, and more in keeping with Global and local community views. Your petitioners therefore request the House to: 1. Implement policies which support a cleaner, greener alternative to Powerlink’s proposal. 2. Implement policies which support initiatives that ensure a sustainable future for all Sunshine Coast residents, flora and fauna.
