TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the imminent closure of the Gold Coast Hospital.
Your petitioners therefore request the House to immediately ensure the people of the Gold Coast that the Southport campus of the Gold Coast Hospital will be retained as a substantial acute medical and surgical in-patient and out-patient facility for public usage in addition to the new Gold Coast University Hospital after the new Hospital is completed in 2012.
