The petition of the citizens of Queensland draws the attention of the House to the limitation of Cook Shire and Cooktown businesses, tourism, employment and general development, due to failure to dredge the Endeavour Harbour. Your petitioners therefore request the House to authorise, as a matter of urgency, dredging of Endeavour Harbour to sufficient depth to facilitate access by commercial fishing vessels, tourism vessels, and the Bark 'Endeavour', prior to Q150 celebrations in June 2009.
