The petition of citizens of Queensland calls on the State Government to commit to building a pedestrian crossing on Moggill Road near the intersection of Montanus Drive at Bellbowrie. Your petitioners draws to the attention of the House the fact that a large number of students, pedestrians and young children cross Moggill Road at this site. We also call on the Government to reduce the current 70 km/h speed limit down to a safe 60 km/h limit given that this dangerous stretch of road runs through a built-up residential area. Bellbowrie residents deserve the same safe speed limits that other Brisbane residents enjoy.
