We the undersigned are petitioning against the Queensland Government’s wholly owned corporation, Powerlink. Namely the Woolooga to Cooroy South transmission and substation project. The community requests the minister to provide an assurance that the Queensland government accepts the responsibility and liability for any health related effects caused by it. The 275,000 kv high voltage transmission lines, pylons and sub-station are proposed within metres of where families live, work and play. Not only will this affect the overall health of many, but will destroy the freedom of safe and healthy lifestyle which we have chosen to live. Your petitioners request the House to action the above grievance.
