Queensland Residents draws to the attention of the House: Newly elected mayor John Malony’s request to present Council with new plans for a redeveloped Leichardt riverbed between Isa and Grace Streets, without a bridge or weir. Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to: encourage Mount Isa City Council to adhere to the decision made by the previous council to accept the $3 million to build the permanent feature of the foot bridge and weir in anticipation of the celebration of the last 150 years.
