The petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the proposed closure of waters in and around Pannikin Island known as MNP27 that is a well protected and very popular fishing area. Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to encourage the Environmental Protection Agency to adopt the MBAA guidelines and ensure this area remains open to both recreational fishers and commercial crabbers.
