Born Collinsville 10 September 1946 and married to Ray with three children, Tony, Rhesa, Owen. Secondary Teacher, Bowen and Nanango High Schools. Vocational Teacher, Barrier Reef Institute of TAFE Burdekin College.

Prior to election to State Parliament, Company Director/Secretary of Family Enterprise (Cane farm, Home Hill and cattle property, Collinsville District).
