Parliamentary Committees

The Legislative Assembly established parliamentary committees to assist the Queensland Parliament to operate more effectively.

Unless legislation governing a committee otherwise specifically provides, all committees are automatically dissolved when Parliament is dissolved. The Parliamentary Crime and Misconduct Committee is the only committee to exist after a dissolution - this is specifically provided for in s 301 of the Crime and Misconduct Act 2001.

Below are the details of Parliamentary Committees by Parliament.
