2017 Queensland State Election

A General Election was held in Queensland on Saturday, 25 November 2017.

A Proclamation dissolving the Legislative Assembly of Queensland was issued by the Acting Governor on 29 October 2017.

In accordance with the Electoral Act 1992 a Writ issued by the Governor in Council for a general election of 93 members of the Legislative Assembly, appoints:

a) Sunday, 29 October 2017 as the date of the writ
b) Friday, 3 November 2017 to be the cut-off for the electoral rolls for the election
c) Tuesday, 7 November 2017 to be the cut-off for the nomination of candidates for the election
d) Saturday, 25 November 2017 to be the polling date
e) Tuesday, 2 January 2018 to be the date for the return of the writ.
