Estimates hearings 2016

2016 Queensland Parliament Estimates Hearing 28 July

The Queensland Parliament’s annual Estimates Committee hearings were held at Parliament House from 19-28 July 2016.

These hearings scrutinised the government's budget for 2016-2017 which was tabled in the Parliament on 14 June 2016.

Estimates Committee hearings are an integral part of Queensland’s budget process, with each of the Parliament’s seven portfolio-based committees holding public hearings into the proposed budget allocations and spendings of the government departments and agencies that they oversee.

These hearings allow for Members of Parliament to question each Minister and their departmental Chief Executive Officers about their budget estimates.

Each of the Estimates Committee hearings are broadcast live on the Parliament’s web site and then available to view on replay afterwards.
