Estimates hearings 2013

Committee Estimates

The Queensland Parliament’s annual Estimates Committee hearings will occur from 16 to 25 July in the Legislative Council Chamber at Parliament House.

Estimates Committee hearings are an integral part of Queensland’s budget process, with each of the Parliament’s seven portfolio-based committees holding a public hearing into the proposed budget allocation and spendings of the government departments and agencies that they oversee. These hearings allow for Members of Parliament to question each Minister and their departmental Chief Executive Officers about their budget estimates.

All Estimates Committee hearings are open to the public to view in person and are also broadcast live via the Parliament’s website and then available to watch on replay following the conclusion of each hearing.
