Unveiling of former Speaker's portrait, 6 May 2009

A portrait of the Honourable Tony McGrady was officially unveiled at Parliament House on 6 May 2009.

Mr McGrady served as Speaker of the Legislative Assembly from 9 August 2005 to 9 October 2006 and was the Member for Mount Isa from 1989 until his retirement in 2006.

The portrait was unveiled by Mr McGrady and current Speaker, the Honourable John Mickel MP.

Mr McGrady's portrait was painted by Ms Ruth Sallows and is displayed in the Speakers' Hall at Parliament House alongside paintings of other former Speakers.
