The Far North Queensland sitting of Parliament was held in Cairns from 28 to 30 October at the Cairns Convention Centre.
The sitting of the Queensland Parliament in Far North Queensland was an historic opportunity for Far North Queensland students and the general public to experience democracy in action.

Over 5,200 people attended over the three days of the sittings, including almost 2,000 school students.

The Wednesday evening Question Time session was attended by 755 people and was also interpreted into Auslan sign-language for members of the Far North Queensland deaf community who were in attendance.

Youth Parliament was held in Cairns in the week beginning 18 August.
