Cultural art display, May 2007

Over a fortnight in May 2007, the Parliament's Legislative Council Chamber hosted a cultural art display which showcased the work of emerging Indigenous Queensland artists.

Artwork was available for purchase and many of the artists involved in the exhibition spoke to tour groups about their work. Accompanied by the sounds of the didgeridoo, hundreds of Indigenous and non-Indigenous visitors enjoyed the artwork. The Indigenous Artist in Residence, John Pene-Fonmosa, also worked on the didgeridoo during the art display.
